DevOps Engineer
Job details
Full job description
Join Kepler Sciences as our next DevOps Engineer in Rochester.
About Kepler Sciences
Kepler Sciences is a family-owned technology and finance engineering business based in Rochester. Founded in 2016, we run 3 locations in Upstate New York and employ a tight team that values doing the work well over scale.
About the role
You'll build the infrastructure and automation that lets developers ship safely and often. Day to day you'll maintain CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform, tune monitoring and alerting, and respond to incidents with post-mortems that fix root causes. You'll containerize services, manage Kubernetes or similar orchestration, harden security across environments, and pave the road so deploys are boring.
What you will bring
You bring hands-on cloud experience, comfort on the Linux command line, and the automation instinct to script anything you've done twice. You stay calm during incidents, write clear runbooks, and treat infrastructure changes with the same review discipline as application code.
Send us your resume and a short note. We review applications on a rolling basis.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar)

- Eligibility to work in Canada

- Paid time off (20 days) plus federal holidays
- Full health, dental, and vision from day one
- Annual learning and conference stipend ($2,000+)
- 401(k) match up to 6 percent, vested over 4 years
